Gift Aid Declaration
Gift Aid-What is it?
Gift Aid is one of the simplest and most effective ways of giving to a charity. Using Gift Aid means that for every pound that you give, the charity that you are supporting will receive an extra 28 pence from HM Revenue & Customs (this currently includes a Government Supplement of 3 pence per pound given). This means that a £16.00 Gift Aid donation to the Fife Bird Club (your membership subscription), is worth £20.51 to the Fife Bird Club and it doesn't cost you a thing! If you are a UK taxpayer, all that you have to do is to complete this simple Gift Aid declaration.
Gift Aid - Do I qualify?
Provided that you pay as much tax (income and / or capital gains) as the Fife Bird Club will be able to reclaim on your donations in the same financial year, you are entitled to use Gift Aid. For example, if you wish to Gift Aid the annual subscription of £16.00 you will need to have paid at least £4.51 tax in respect of that tax year.
Declaration
I declare that I am a UK taxpayer and have made donations to the Fife Bird Club (Registered Scottish Charity SC029686). I wish the Fife Bird Club to treat this and all donations that I have made since 6 April 2000, and all donations that I make thereafter, as Gift Aid and to reclaim tax unless I inform them that I no longer pay tax.
